Enigma
The name Enigma refers to the mystery concealed within an apparently simple object. The luminaire’s minimalist appearance is defined not only by contemporary aesthetics but, above all, by its construction: behind the pure geometry lies a sophisticated adjustment system that allows the direction of light to be individually configured. The Enigma prototype was first presented at Interlight 2022 at the Maytoni stand.
The luminaire is based on a cylindrical metal body containing an integrated LED light source. Semi-circular elements create its distinctive graphic silhouette while also forming part of the functional structure.
A special adjustment mechanism at the top allows the direction of the light beam to be changed vertically. Additional flexibility is provided by the suspension system, which combines a steel cable with an electrical cord. During installation, this system makes it possible to adjust the horizontal orientation of the luminaire and accurately position the light.
Using both a cable and an electrical cord keeps the luminaire stable in the selected position. Unlike a conventional pendant suspended from a single cord, Enigma does not rotate freely and maintains its intended orientation. The suspension height can also be adjusted according to ceiling height and the required lighting scenario.
To give the electrical cord an elegant and controlled curve, it is connected to the suspension cable with a specially designed decorative element. A dedicated ceiling canopy with magnetic fittings was also developed for the collection. This solution conceals technical components, screws, and visible fixings, preserving the clean character of the design.
The apparent simplicity of Enigma is therefore the result of detailed engineering. Almost all technical solutions are concealed within the structure, leaving the user with pure geometry and a high degree of control over the lighting.
The collection is available in two finish combinations: textured black with matte gold and textured black with matte white.
